Under the program manager’s direction, your microwave radio system will be designed, built, installed and tested in accordance with your requirements.
Engineering
At the start of the project, our Engineering department develops a complete design package for your total system. After analyzing your microwave system requirements, our engineers design an economically and technically efficient system based on their calculations.
Our engineers use the latest methods and standards to insure an error-free, quality installation. GABS’ experience in planning and engineering microwave paths insures that your specifications for performance and reliability, as well as your cost requirements, will be met or exceeded.
Using a combination of sophisticated analytical techniques and on-site surveys, our transmission engineers verify the suitability of proposed paths and recommend an optimum routing for the system.
Our systems engineers provide technical direction to guarantee overall system integrity. Working closely with you, the SE verifies that all sub-systems and vendor-furnished
equipment are compatible, and that the desired performance is realized. Systems engineering can also provide traffic design and complete system integration.
The final engineering step happens in Applications Engineering. The AE translates the entire system configuration into specific hardware, precise interface levels, cabling, and peripheral equipment. This information goes to the factory, which uses it to manufacture the system.
Field Installation
Field installation is easy with GABS: we provide everything, from skilled workers to vehicles to test equipment to tools, ladders, and materials. A field supervisor, in daily contact with you and the program manager, directs the work, monitors the progress, and resolves any problems that may arise.
On site, experienced GABS field engineers install all equipment, even that supplied by other vendors. Our well-trained crews respect customer property and follow all local safety regulations.
After the work is done, all you have to do is make a physical inspection of the site. Before our crew leaves the site, we will repair any deficiencies you may note. This sequence offers you the opportunity to make adjustments or changes before the installation force departs.
Testing
Testing is a key ingredient of GABS quality. We test the equipment at many stages during manufacture and installation. Some of the tests we perform include:
